DESCRIPTION:Dr. Vicki Gallgher\, Professor of Communication Studies at Nort
 h Carolina State University. Is the lead investigator of the award-winning
  Virtual Martin&nbsp\;Luther King\, Jr. project\, a significant\, long-ter
 m digital humanities project supported in part through a grant from the Na
 tional Endowment for the Humanities.&nbsp\;The project recreates Dr. Marti
 n Luther King Jr.'s speech \"A Creative Protest\" sometimes referred to as
  the \"Fill up the Jails Speech.\" It was delivered just days&nbsp\;after 
 the start of Greensboro sit-ins in February\, 1960. Dr. King delivered the
  speech to support students protesting segregation in the Royal ice cream 
 parlor in Durham\, North Carolina. No recording&nbsp\;of the speech exists
