IDRO Friday Research Seminar: Resilience by Design – Kotaro Nakamura

Resilience by Design

Kotaro Nakamura, professor and chair, Department of Interior Design

Creating a sustainable world is becoming increasingly crucial but also very challenging. The term “resilience” often means the ability to bounce back after facing challenges. However, in the context of design, it also refers to the importance of creating a built environment that reduces its dependence on natural resources such as energy, water and materials. Join Kotaro Nakamura, who joined the College of Design in July as the new chair of the Department of Interior Design, to learn more about his research and work.
