Creativity and innovation can empower the art of translation:
Pardo-Ballester's current project investigates the application of artificial intelligence in translating jokes and short stories accompanied by embedded images extracted from both old and new Spanish texts. Successful translation, in this regard, requires a profound understanding of the Spanish social and cultural lexicon and the bridging of linguistic and cultural differences between the Spanish and English-speaking cultures.
