IDRO Friday Research Seminar: Multifunctional Trail Corridors in Iowa by Austin Dunn, Landscape architecture assistant professor

April 5 @ 12:10 pm - 1:00 pm
Venue | Room 0130, College of Design

Landscape architecture assistant professor Austin Dunn‘s spring 2024 “Great American Rail-Trail” interdisciplinary studio poses the question, “Can trails be more than recreational paths?”

In his work with Boone County Conservation and the Friends of the High Trestle Trail, Dunn and this studio explore how a local rail-trail corridor can serve ecological, economic, transportation and cultural functions within the larger landscape.

This studio is supported by a Fieldstead & Company Endowment for Community Enhancement Fund grant through the Institute for Design Research and Outreach.

Part of the IDRO Friday Research Seminar brown-bag lunch series sponsored by the Institute for Design Research and Outreach in the College of Design.
